Nick was recently selected as this year’s recipient of the FACSS Student Award. The FACSS, or the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies, comprises several United States and international societies and aims to unite many sub-fields under the greater umbrella of Analytical Chemistry. FACSS holds an annual conference called the Great Scientific Exchange (SciX), and each year one Student Award is given to recognize outstanding contributions by an individual who is a Ph.D. or M.Sc. candidate. We are excited Nick has received this prestigious award! With the award he gets an all-expense paid trip to SciX in Reno, NV in October, where he will share his most recent work on activated ion electron transfer dissociation.
