What is your research interest?

Much of my research experience has been in small molecule characterization and biomarker discovery. I plan to expand my knowledge to increase the breadth of biology I can cover with mass spectrometry, and hopefully integrate the data I can produce for novel findings. I am very interested in research with both industrial and clinical applications to help bring our results closer to the public.

I was in the Coon Lab as an undergraduate and was able to experience the impact of the research, it was hard to imagine continuing my scientific training anywhere else.

Why did you choose the Coon lab?

In my time at UW and the Coon Lab as an undergraduate, I was able to experience the collaborative nature of the science here as well as the wonderful culture the lab has curated. With the strong mentorship and the impact of the research, it was hard to imagine continuing my scientific training anywhere else.
