Research Focus

I am interested in the intersection of biology, chemistry, and data science. My undergraduate research at the University of Pittsburgh focused on synthetic biology in cyanobacteria, and after graduating I worked as an analytical chemist characterizing pharmaceuticals through LC-MS. The Coon lab and its focus on multi-omics work was a natural fit for me. The environment in the lab is very positive, and I am excited to build up my bioinformatics skills on the variety of interesting projects available thanks to the lab’s numerous collaborations.
